About Heather
Heather met Tanner three months after moving to Madison, Wisconsin, in 2023. She grew up in Florida with her parents Tim and Kathy and younger brother Ryan, but she’s lived in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York City, too. Heather studied art history and painting at Princeton University and now works for Democratic organizations while teaching art classes on the side. She’s learning a lot about science and the Dallas Stars for no particular reason.
About Tanner
Tanner met Heather two years into his time in Madison working for the University of Wisconsin as a scientific researcher. Tanner grew up in Dallas with his parents Rex and Debra, brother Taylor, and sister Courtney. He played guitar in an indie band through high school and college at Texas Christian University before embarking on his PhD in Immunology at the University of Pennsylvania. Our crazy dog Pepper absolutely loves him.
Our first date: Grampa's Pizzeria and I/O Arcade Bar
Our favorite things to do: Trying new restaurants, trivia, playing darts, watching movies (and hockey), traveling, cooking, reading, biking, and cleaning up parks!
